Theater director and actress Perla de la Rosa on the International Bridge between El Paso and Ciudad Juarez  and at Centro Cultural Paso del Norte in Ciudad Juarez. Perla de la Rosa is one of the most outspoken women in Juarez and she often gets invited to perform her shows in Europe.

Q: What is the essence of your life as a border artist?

My life is my children and theater, this is who I am. Theater is the attempt to be the voice of human frailty. A theater against forgetting, a theater that makes visible what power attempts to conceal, distort or deny. A theater that bares the perverse machinery of a system that is now autonomous and against which we must resist, resist and resist.
